OSADC Dive:

Divers meet/sign in by 9:00 am at the Dive Shop (at the entrance).
Location:
The Lake Phoenix quarry is a 3.0 hour drive from the Olney Swim Center.
Directions:
Google, Yahoo Maps or Internet search (see website) will get you the driving details or GPS information. In general terms, the quarry is South of Petersburg, VA off Interstate Route 85.
Admission:
The quarry opens at 8:00 am. Check-in at the Dive Shop.
You will need to provide the following:
C-card (staff will hold it until you complete your dives)
Certified Diver Waiver (MUST be completed online before arrival, https://waiver.smartwaiver.com/w/550712c843f37/web/)
Admission Fee: $46.00/day (includes tank and all air refills that day). Check payable to Montgomery SCUBA before arrival.
General Information:
We will meet/sign-in by 9:00 am Saturday and 8:00 am Sunday at the quarry dive shop.
Water temps: Surface~80°F+; 55 ft~55°F ; Viz: ~15-25 ft.
Equipment/Gear: A 3.0 mm wetsuit is fine if you plan on diving above 25 ft; a 7.0 mm suit is recommended for dive below 30 ft. If gear is needed, please contact Joe Lodmell (diveeatsleep AT yahoo.com ) ASAP to discuss wetsuit/weights, BC, or reg rentals.
Overnight Motel Accomodations: We need to secure motel reservations at the Econolodge in Petersburg, VA for Saturday night, Sept 21. Please respond to this email by Friday, Sept 13, if you need a room. Travel to the Econolodge in Petersburg from the lake is ~40 minutes.
