Where and When:
Meet at the boat ramp/parking lot below the Route 4, Johnson Bridge (on the Solomons side of the Patuxent river), at 9:30 am and plan to dive around 10:30 am (we need to complete the dive by high Noon).
What to Bring:
One tank. A single shallow dive in the Patuxent River provides plenty of air and bottom time for most divers.
A goodie bag for gathering oysters or other benthic treats.
A wetsuit or drysuit that will keep you comfortable in ~44⁰F water. Air temps could be in the low/mid 60s. We will have a pop-up tent and heater for transitioning to/from the dive.
A dive float/flag.
EXTRA WEIGHT! We are diving in shallow water (brackish, 10-20 ft). It’s recommended that you consider 6-10 lbs above your fresh water weight.
